City Hall Closed Wednesday, April 24, for Move

City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, so staff can move from the current, leased offices to the new, permanent building.

The final day of operations at 3 Quail Creek Center will be Tuesday, April 23.

City Hall will reopen at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Call to order
Mayor Pro Tem Chris Hoffman called the November 21, 2017 Special Session of the North Liberty City Council to order at 10:04 a.m. Councilors present: Chris Hoffman and Brian Wayson; by phone: Sarah Madsen and Annie Pollock; absent – Jim Sayre.

Others present: Ryan Heiar and Tracey Mulcahey and by phone: Jennifer Goings and Scott Peterson.

Approval of the Agenda
Pollock moved, Madsen seconded to approve the agenda. The vote was all ayes. Agenda approved.

Highway 965, Phase 3
Madsen moved, Wayson seconded to approve Resolution Number 2017-124, A Resolution approving the agreement for utility relocation between the City of North Liberty and Interstate Power and Light Company that establishes the terms and conditions under which certain overhead power lines will be installed underground in the City of North Liberty, Iowa. The vote was: ayes – Wayson, Madsen, Hoffman, Pollock; nays -none. Motion carried.

Wayson moved, Pollock seconded to approve Resolution Number 2017-127, A Resolution approving the Public Easement Agreement (Permanent Utility and Temporary Construction) for the Highway 965 (Ranshaw Way), Phase 3 Improvement Project between 160-965 LLC and the City of North Liberty, Johnson County, Iowa. After discussion, the vote was: ayes – Hoffman, Wayson, Madsen, Pollock; nays – none. Motion carried.

Madsen moved, Wayson seconded to approve Resolution Number 2017-128, A Resolution approving the agreement between the City of North Liberty, 160-965 LLC, and BCI Lumber regarding the Highway 965 (Ranshaw Way), Phase 3 Improvement Project. After discussion, the vote was: ayes – Hoffman, Madsen, Pollock, Wayson; nays – none. Motion carried.

Pollock moved, Wayson seconded to approve Resolution Number 2017-129, A Resolution approving the purchase of a parcel from 160-965 LLC for the expansion of right-of-way. After discussion, the vote was: ayes – Pollock, Wayson, Madsen, Hoffman; nays – none. Motion carried.
