Good Neighbor Meeting for Property West of I-380 and North of Forevergreen Road

This meeting will be held on Sept. 27, 2108, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. in the North Liberty City Administration Building’s conference room, 3 Quail Creek Circle

This is to notify you that the city may soon consider a rezoning in our area, and to invite the public to an open house-style meeting being held to explain the proposal. The property is west of Interstate 380 and north of Forevergreen Road. The proposal is for a C-2-A, or Highway Commercial, rezoning. A location map and a concept plan proposed by the developer are with this post. This memo is being sent to property owners within 200 feet of the proposed development.

This Good Neighbor meeting is being held to explain the potential rezoning being considered by the owner/developer, and to gather any comments you may have regarding the proposal. No staff review has been done, nor have Planning Commission or City Council actions been taken, but the application may be made as early as Oct. 1, 2018. This meeting is intended to notify you early in the process and to help the developer understand neighborhood concerns, and other formal public meetings will be held by the Planning Commission and City Council if the development applications proceed.

Please feel free to drop in to the Good Neighbor meeting any time within the period shown above. There will not be a formal meeting or presentation; instead, city staff and the developer will be available for informal open-house discussions with maps and information regarding the proposal.

If you wish to discuss this application and are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Planning Director Dean Wheatley directly at (319) 626-5747 or
[email protected], to schedule a private meeting.
