Police begin bike registration

Starting today, residents can register their bikes with the North Liberty Police Department to help them recover their rides is they’re lost or stolen.
Registrants must provide their name and contact information, the bike’s brand, color and serial number. They can also provide the bike’s value, other distinctive marks and provide a photo of the bike.
The North Liberty Police Department will keep a database of register bikes and check recovered bikes against the database in an effort to return them to their owners.
