Kansas Avenue to close between St. Andrews Drive and Forevergreen Road on May 21

Weather permitting, the reconstruction of Kansas Avenue from St. Andrews Drive to Forevergreen Road will begin on Monday, May 21, 2018. This work will require closing the road to through traffic.
This project, which came in $1.1 million under engineers’ estimates and will be paid for in part by a RISE grant from the state of Iowa, paves Kansas Avenue, constructs a roundabout at the intersection with St. Andrews Drive, updates water and sewer infrastructure and a sidewalk along the east side. The St. Andrews Drive and Kansas Avenue intersection will remain open throughout the work
The project is expected to last into the late fall, with incentives for the contractor to complete the project by early November.
