Excavation for new water mains continues

Work on water infrastructure updates continues, including the excavation and boring required to install new water mains from well site in Quail Ridge Park and to the new plant on Front Street.

Weather permitting, Ricklefs Excavating will resume underground work on Birch Court starting the week of Jan. 8, 2018. The work will take about two weeks. Once complete, the contractor will do some additonal excavations to connect bored segments together, as well as about a week of underground work from Ranshaw Way (Highway 965) to the west along Zeller.

After water main pipe installation is completed, the contractor will also have fiber optic work to complete by boring along Zeller and Front Street, which is likely to occur in early February.

Pavement restoration and seeding is expected to occur early in the spring, tentatively scheduled for late March.
