Have energy and like the water? Become an aquatics class instructor

The North Liberty Aquatic Center is looking for a high energy, enthusiastic Aqua instructor! The classes are from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Mondays with the flexibility to teach occasionally on Wednesdays and Fridays. Class instruction takes place in the deep end and shallow end of the pool. An instructor should have knowledge of equipment such as noodles, water weights and aqua belts and should know how to incorporate them into class. The instructor should instruct patrons on correct technique and form, correct use of equipment, and incorporate different muscle groups for an effective workout. Instructors should prepare for classes with hand-outs, music and different workouts. These two classes are well attended and have a strong following. We have two instructors, one on Wednesday and one on Friday and are looking for an instructor on Mondays to continue to help grow these classes. If interested, please contact Ashley Kipp at [email protected] or (319) 626-5707.
