City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Veterans Day Appreciation Luncheon at the library

Veterans, guests and family are invited to attend the North Liberty Community Library’s third Veterans Day Appreciation Luncheon. This year the library is offering a lunch and presentation by Gary Boseneiler, Veterans Affairs Director of Johnson County, on Friday, Nov. 10, at 11:30 a.m. in the Library.

Lunch will be catered by Pancheros Mexican Grill in North Liberty and will be free to all veterans, servicemen and women. Guests are also invited to attend for $5 per person. Pre-registration is required for this event and you can register at Eventbrite or by calling the library at (319) 626-5701. Registration is open through Monday, Nov. 6.

Speaker Gary Boseneiler is the Veterans Affairs Director of Johnson County. His presentation will cover information from federal, state, and county level, with a Q & A following.

“Our mission is to be a community gathering place and we’re pleased to host this event to honor and recognize the Veterans and service members in our community.” said Adult Services Librarian Elaine Hayes.
