City Hall Closed Wednesday, April 24, for Move

City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, so staff can move from the current, leased offices to the new, permanent building.

The final day of operations at 3 Quail Creek Center will be Tuesday, April 23.

City Hall will reopen at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Nominations sought for North Liberty Hall of Fame’s 2017 class

The City of North Liberty is seeking nominations for 2017 induction into the community’s Hall of Fame. The award was developed in 2013 to recognize individuals who provided extraordinary public service and dedication to the community.

Past inductees are Russ Gerdin, in 2013, a philanthropist and the founder of Heartland Express; Dave Hubler, in 2015, a volunteer firefighter with 25 years of service, requiring dedication and sacrifice; Tom Salm, in 2014, a mayor who took office during a time of turmoil and led North Liberty forward with vision, consensus and selflessness; and Natlie Wilkerson, in 2013, who gave selflessly of her time, particularly to those in need, and helped found the North Liberty Community Pantry;

Nominations for 2017 recipients may be made through Oct. 20, 2017, after which inductees will be selected based on service rendered to the community, with special consideration given to those who demonstrate a high level of volunteer leadership. Participation in local volunteer organizations, longevity in public service and community impact are also considered. Eligible nominees must live, work or provide services directly to the North Liberty community.
