North Liberty Porchfest returns Saturday, August 19

North Liberty PorchfestThe residents of Arlington Ridge neighborhood (located at Juniper and Dubuque streets) invite the corridor to their subdivision for the second annual North Liberty Porchfest on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 3 to 8 p.m.

At Porchfest, porches and driveways become stages, and more than 45 performers are volunteering to share their talents across eight stages with the community for this family-friendly music festival. Attendees are encouraged to bring along lawn chairs and blankets, stroll the streets listening to musicians and connect with fellow residents of the corridor.

A second line bicycle parade will kick off the event at 2:30 p.m. Additional free activities throughout the afternoon include an instrument petting zoo, craft tent, bounce houses, rock star hair styling, face painting, food trucks and more.

Free trolley rides will be available from 2:45 to 8:15 p.m., making continuous trips between the Penn Meadows Park north lot (accessible from Penn Street) and the event. Residential street parking will also be available but will fill up quickly.
