City Hall Closed Wednesday, April 24, for Move

City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, so staff can move from the current, leased offices to the new, permanent building.

The final day of operations at 3 Quail Creek Center will be Tuesday, April 23.

City Hall will reopen at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 25.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Board of Supervisors seeks applicants for library board of trustees

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for one vacancy on the North Liberty Community Library Board of Trustees for a person residing in unincorporated Johnson County to serve an unexpired term beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2020.

While all North Liberty Community Library Board of Trustees members are appointed by the North Liberty City Council upon recommendation from the Mayor, the appointment of a resident of unincorporated Johnson County is also subject to the initial recommendation of the Board of Supervisors; thus, applications are submitted to the Johnson County Board Office.

The North Liberty Community Library Board of Trustees is a six-member advisory board empowered to review policy, aid in the determination of goals & objectives, provide advice and guidance on library operations & programs, and engage in library advocacy.  The Library Board of Trustees meet the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the North Liberty City Council Chambers (3 Quail Creek Circle).  Meetings are also televised on NLTV channel 5.

Application forms are available on the Committee/Board Openings webpage of the official Johnson County website, www.johnson-county.com/vacancies and in the office of the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, second floor of the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 South Dubuque Street, Iowa City.

Completed applications must be returned to the Board Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017.
