City Hall Reopened at 360 N Main St.

City Hall has moved from its previous, leased offices into the new, permanent building at 360 N. Main St. at 7 a.m.

The public can accesses the same services at the new location during the same business hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Departments located at the building include Administration, Billing and Finance, Building Inspection, Planning, Community Relations and Human Resources.

A ribbon cutting and open house is planned for Tuesday, May 14, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Splash pad opens in Penn Meadows Park

penn meadows splash padJust in time for the dog days of summer, North Liberty’s first splash pad opens Thursday, Aug. 4.

Located on the north side of Penn Meadows Park, 170 N Dubuque St., the splash pad offers a baseball-themed spray feature as well as in-ground jets, a durable, grippy surface and limestone seating at the parameter. The splash pad will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily during the season. Seasonally, the splash pad will operate starting each Memorial Day weekend and operate through Labor Day weekend.

The splash pad was paid for with assistance from Alliant Engery’s Hometown Rewards program, which North Liberty piloted in 2010. A second splash pad is planned for a future phase of Centennial Park.
