Work begins on Creekside Commons sewer upgrade

Recently, our contractor, Maxwell Construction, began work to upgrade the waste water trunk sewer that runs behind homes on Nicholas Lane, under Front Street and to the treatment plant at the end of Abigale Avenue. Staking, stockpiling and other preparation work got underway immediately after the project was awarded in late February.
This project, expected to be completed this summer, is to add capacity to the municipal waste water system and is expected to be completed in summer 2015.
All work will be performed in the utility easement and on city-owned property. While don’t expect street closures or detours as part of this project, the contractor will be closing the dead-end trail to the west of Nicholas Lane for the duration of the project.
