Road construction: Paving on N. Front Street requires lane reductions next week

Paving on N. Front Street will require lane reductions and detours the week of July 21.
Weather permitting, paving will begin on Tuesday, July 22, at 8 a.m. Starting from Penn Street, crews will work in the north-bound lane, requiring north-bound traffic to detour east along Penn Street, north on Hodge Street, and west on Jefferson Street back to N. Front Street. Once crews are north of Jefferson Street, expected around 9 a.m., traffic will be alternated with flaggers. The road will reopen to two-way traffic by 4:30 p.m.
The south-bound lane will be paved beginning on Wednesday, July 23, at 8 a.m. Detours and flaggers will remain the same, with a similar schedule. The road will reopen to two-way traffic by 4:30 p.m.
The new turn-lane for Cedar Spring Drive will be paved, weather permitting, on Thursday, July 24. No detours are required for this, but flaggers will be present to direct traffic as need to accommodate the work.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and seek alternative routes when possible.
