Sediment control

Comment: Consider sediment control during and after construction to prevent the pond from filling in.
The project includes a storm water pollution prevention plan to control erosion. The pond will serve as a siltation basin during construction and constructed to approximately 13.5-feet deep, which is quite a bit deeper than the North Liberty’s and industry’s minimum standards.
The park also includes vegetative cover over the entire site. This should be quite an improvement for control erosion as compared with the existing bare soil.
