Vilsack Honors North Liberty
Governor Vilsack Proclaims
August 29, 2003 as "Pride in North Liberty Day"
At
a personal visit to the North Liberty Community Center, Governor Vilsack
proclaimed August 29, 2003 to be Pride in North Liberty Day for the State of
Iowa. Vilsack visited the site of the Community Center Phase II Expansion, which
was funded in part by $1,000,000 from a Vision Iowa Community Attraction and
Tourism grant. The Governor also toured the existing facility and gave a brief
speech on the Iowa Values Fund, value-added
agriculture and life sciences initiatives throughout the state, and Iowa's
position as a national leader in quality of
