North Liberty Transit Service
Fixed route bus service between North Liberty and Iowa City is provided by contract with Coralville Transit. The North Liberty express bus operates Monday through Friday with trips from the Community Center to downtown Iowa City via the VA loop at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. There is an early evening return route from downtown Iowa City. Please see the route details and schedule below.
Fares, Passes and Discounted Passes
Bus fare is $.75 per one-way ride.
Transfers are available to Iowa City transit. See the Coralville Transit website for details. Transfer slips should be obtained from the bus driver when you board the bus.
Bus passes are purchased from Coralville Transit, and cost $25 for a 31-day pass. Other pass and discounted fare information can be found on the Coralville Transit website here.
University of Iowa students, faculty and staff may be eligible for special bus passes.

Express Bus Route

The morning service route will depart from the North Liberty Community Center (520 W. Cherry Street) parking lot at approximately 7:05 AM. The bus leaves the Community Center onto Cherry Street, and proceeds east to Front Street, then south on Front Street. There is a stop at the intersection of Weston and Front Street (west side of Front Street in the morning, east side on the return route, just north of the intersection), and a stop at Vandello Drive/North Central Jr. High. The route continues down Front Street, south on 12th Avenue to Holiday Road, and east on Holiday Road to 1st Avenue. The bus takes 1st Avenue south to Highway 6, then turns southeast onto Newton Road to the Veteran's Affairs Hospital (VA) Loop stop.

Schedule
The North Liberty express bus operates Monday through Friday, year-round, except for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Parking
Free public parking is available at the North Liberty Community Center. Transit users are asked to use the northernmost and westernmost rows of parking stalls at the Community Center.
