Help compile North Liberty History:
The North Bend Historical Society has been compiling oral histories of our town. Local residents' stories are told in their own voices, enhanced by their own photographs and historical documents. Interviewees have included Bob Sentman, Erma Sentman, Eleanor Work, Homer Riggle, Martha and Mel Schemmel, Agda and Clarence Hightshoe, and Ruth Lininger. The completed histories are shown on NLTV and made available at the North Liberty Library. These oral histories are treasures of our town's past and become heirlooms to the family and friends of the subjects.
We need people who are willing to share their memories and be videotaped in a relaxed atmosphere. Also needed are photos of people, places and events in our history. If you have interesting stories to tell about any of the following historical topics, or have names and phone numbers of someone who does, please send email to NLTV@northlibertyiowa.org, or call Laura at (319) 626-5726.
