-The Police Department ended the month of February at 750 calls for service for the year.

-February had 370 calls for service.

- STEP Grant enforcement ran from Feb. 12th to the 15th.

-15 Vehicle Inspections were completed.

-New Police Officer Jess Bernhard started employment on February 17th and is currently completing his field training.

-Police Dept. applied for and received a Federal Grant to pay for half of the bullet proof vest for Officer Bernhard.

-The Police Dept. received a 163 Grant from the Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau. This Grant runs from April 1st to September 30th of 2005 and is for enforcement of the OWI and Seat belt laws. The grant is in the amount of $6,000.00 and includes $3,500 for an additional camera for a police car.
