-The Police Department ended the month of April at 1820 calls for service for the year.

-April had 505 calls for service.

-31 Vehicle inspections were completed this month.

-On April 30th at around 4:45 pm, a Three car accident took place at Golfview Drive and Hwy 965. While officers were covering this accident, a Four car accident happened at the same location.

-The Department has noticed a increase in calls and activity with the warmer weather.

-Officers will attend training with firearms in May.

-Officer Venenga will attend a two week LEIN training in May, which is held by the State and is required for the Department to have access to State and Regional Intelligence.

-Chief Warkentin will assist at Safety Village with tours for the Iowa City School District the first week of May.

- The police dept. will have a booth at the All About Me Fair.
